I couldn't agree with Robin's comments more! As an HR consultant myself, I too believe the HR function is drastically changing and in order to bring value to any company or team, the HR role must become more of a partnership rather than the "compliance" monitor. My goal for 2010 is to partner with my clients and help them define and establish a Performance Mgmt System that will promote self-development and growth of their people that will in turn, deliver results.

The role of HR is evolving and as HR professionals we need to evolve with the times as well.

Robin strikes a chord here with the future role for HR. It isn't about filling out forms. It's about filling out dreams and desires of employees and channeling them toward accomplishing company goals.
